This Cancellation and Refund Policy outlines the terms under which bookings can be cancelled by the customer or by us, and how refunds are processed.

By making a reservation via www.balloon.tr, you acknowledge and agree to the terms set out below.

1. Weather Conditions and Safety First
   Hot air ballooning is an activity strictly dependent on weather conditions. The ultimate decision to fly rests with the Turkish Civil Aviation Authority and our experienced pilots. Safety is never compromised.

If your flight is cancelled by us due to unsafe weather conditions (e.g., high winds, rain, fog):

Full Refund: You are entitled to a 100% refund of the total amount paid. No hidden fees or administrative charges will be applied.

Alternative Date: If you are staying in the region for additional days, we will offer to reschedule your flight for the next available morning, subject to seat availability.

Please Note: If the weather is suitable for flying and the flight takes place, but you decide not to participate due to personal anxiety or fear at the launch site, this is treated as a “last-minute cancellation by the customer” (see Section 2.3) and is non-refundable.

2. Cancellation by the Customer
   We offer a flexible cancellation policy for standard bookings to accommodate changes in your travel itinerary. Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email to [Insert Support Email Address]. The timing of the cancellation is calculated based on the local time in Turkey (GMT+3).

2.1. Standard Flexible Cancellation (More than 24 Hours Notice)
If you cancel your booking more than 24 hours before the scheduled pick-up time of your flight:

You will receive a 100% refund of the paid amount.

There are no cancellation penalties.

2.2. Late Cancellation (Less than 24 Hours Notice)
If you cancel your booking less than 24 hours before the scheduled pick-up time:

The booking is considered 100% non-refundable.

The full cost of the tour will be charged as a cancellation penalty because we are unable to resell the reserved seats at such short notice.

2.3. No-Show Policy
A “No-Show” occurs if you fail to be at the designated hotel pick-up location at the confirmed time without prior notice.

No-shows will be charged the full price (100%) of the booking.

No refunds or rescheduling options will be offered for guests who miss their pick-up.

We strongly recommend being ready in your hotel lobby 10 minutes before the scheduled pick-up time.

3. Rescheduling Policy
   If you wish to change the date of your flight instead of cancelling:

More than 24 hours notice: We are happy to reschedule your flight to a different date free of charge, subject to availability.

Less than 24 hours notice: Rescheduling requests made within 24 hours of the flight are generally not possible and may be treated as a cancellation according to Section 2.2.

4. Group and Private Bookings
   Different terms may apply for large group bookings (usually 10+ guests) or private flight charters, as these require significant advance logistical planning.

Group/Private Cancellation: Unless otherwise specified in a separate service agreement, group or private charter cancellations must be made at least 7 days (168 hours) prior to the flight date for a full refund. Cancellations made within 7 days may incur partial or full penalties depending on the contract terms.

5. Refund Process
   5.1. Method of Refund Refunds will always be processed back to the original payment method used at the time of booking. For example, if you paid via credit card, the refund will be issued to that same credit card. We cannot issue refunds via cash if the original payment was digital.

5.2. Timeline Once a refund is approved by www.balloon.tr, we will initiate the transaction within 24 hours. However, please be aware that:

It may take 7 to 15 business days for the funds to appear in your bank account or on your credit card statement, depending on your bank’s international processing times and policies.

We are not responsible for any fluctuations in currency exchange rates between the time of booking and the time of refund.

6. Third-Party Bookings
   If you have booked your www.balloon.tr flight through a third-party agent, online travel agency (e.g., Viator, GetYourGuide, Booking.com), or a hotel concierge:

You must contact the third party directly to request a cancellation or modification.

Their specific terms and conditions regarding cancellations and refunds will apply, which may differ from ours. We cannot process refunds for payments made to other companies.
